Eritrean 50+

Business coaching, a new brand, a professional website and staff training strengthened EEWA / Eritrean 50+’s visibility, organisational capacity and funding readiness.

Eritrean 50+ website developed with Creative One Stop

Project overview

Westway Trust commissioned digital transformation support for the Elderly Eritrean Welfare Association (EEWA) in 2024. The organisation needed a user-friendly online platform to communicate services, share updates and improve sustainability for elderly members of the Eritrean community in West London. The support combined coaching, strategy and implementation.

An organisation supporting Eritrean elders needed to raise its visibility, communicate its services more clearly and build capacity beyond small, short-term grants.

What we did

Ubuntu Pledge worked with EEWA leadership while CreativeOneStop Ltd led digital implementation. The six-week package included an accessible website, digital strategy and content planning, training in website updates and content management, Google Workspace communication and administration, and digital engagement through email outreach and social media. The team supported Google Drive, Gmail and Calendar and established social media accounts.

Ubuntu Pledge and Creative One Stop also developed a new brand to keep the organisation’s marketing and website consistent, alongside business coaching, fundability and organisational capacity support.

Reported grant funding increase

Ubuntu Pledge × Creative One Stop

Ubuntu Pledge leads business coaching and organisational capacity-building. Our business design partner, Creative One Stop, builds websites and develops branding and digital design.

Percentage increases compare reported earlier and subsequent grant funding, using the change divided by the earlier funding. Where reported figures span a range, the percentage also spans a range. These are not annual funding growth or independently verified totals. Funding outcomes reflect the organisations’ own work and other factors as well as our support; credibility and capacity improvements are qualitative.
