Digital Creative Accelerator

Project overview

Residents in underserved communities face challenges accessing digital tools and developing skills for daily life, employment and online safety. Westminster Libraries commissioned Ubuntu Pledge to deliver a practical, responsive digital inclusion programme. The programme introduced essential digital skills and responded to residents’ interest in online safety and creative digital tools, building long-term confidence and capability.

What we did

  • Delivered interactive, hands-on workshops at Queen’s Park Library.
  • Essential digital skills: internet navigation, email, online services and managing digital devices.
  • Online safety: recognising scams, password security, protecting personal information and safe browsing.
  • Creative digital tools: Canva, Wix and mobile photography for personal projects and employability.
  • 21 students completed the course
  • Good Things Foundation provided laptops to 12 participants for learning at home.
  • Strong demand for online safety led to two additional workshops on cybersecurity, data privacy and scam awareness.

12 participants received laptops through Good Things Foundation.
