Wellbeing Through Art – Creative Balance for Life Management

Wellbeing Through Art combines life coaching and artistic expression. Across eight weeks, participants used the Wheel of Life to reflect on balance, wellbeing and self-discovery.

Wellbeing Through Art – Creative Balance for Life Management

Project overview

Wellbeing Through Art is one of our most celebrated programmes: an eight-week creative journey supporting holistic wellbeing through artistic expression and structured life reflection, delivered in weekly two-hour sessions with 12 participants. The Wheel of Life sat at the heart of it, helping participants assess health, relationships, work, personal growth and finances, then set intentions and express their insights creatively. In a fast-paced world, the programme offered space to pause, play, reflect and reconnect.

What we did

  • Facilitated an interactive, therapeutic group programme using creativity as a bridge between reflection and wellbeing.
  • Life management theme: each week focused on a different area of the Wheel of Life, from personal growth to health and finance.
  • Artistic inspiration: a renowned artist whose life or work matched the theme, such as Leonardo da Vinci for mastery, Frida Kahlo for emotional resilience and Henri Matisse for joy and colour.
  • Creative practice: pencil sketching, abstract painting, colouring a personal Wheel of Life and expressive art based on the week's theme.
  • Encouraged playfulness and self-expression in a non-judgemental space, with participants sharing reflections and learning from each other.

Results

12 participants took part in weekly two-hour sessions.

7 participants completed the full eight-week journey.

Participants reported improved self-awareness, emotional wellbeing and reduced stress.

The programme combined coaching and creativity, offering practical tools and emotional expression.

Participants left with a personalised Wheel of Life to use after the course.

A safe and supportive group environment strengthened community connection.

Positive feedback included requests to run the programme again.
